Happy Fourth of July!

We found out today that our house marks the parade formation area for the city parade. We woke up this morning with a marching band in our driveway. My friends coming over for the parade were told by the band director to “Just drive through them, they’ll move. And if they don’t, we could stand to lose a few.”

This was the first time we’ve really entertained at our new place. We had the Kickstarter video filming on Tuesday, and a Pikes Peak Skeptics Society potluck on Wednesday. My ninja turtle collection took quite the beating from a rambunctious four year old, so I got to relive my childhood explaining who all the characters are.

Yes, I have the Turtle Van. Because this is America.
