138 Nerdy Foreplay
Against all odds, small rebel strike force penetrates imperial defenses and releases squadrons of fighter ships who fight their way to the Deathstar reactor core. And that’s how babies are made.
Speaking of which, my daughter was born yesterday! We are recovering at the hospital now and can’t wait to take her home. Mom and baby are doing great.

You told her details?

Of course I did, she's my mother.
MOM
Tell me Rob, what argument convinced my responsible daughter to have unprotected sex. Something about Star Wars, was it?

Wahoo! Congratulations!
Yay congrats on the baby girl! I bet she’s adorable.
Also, I tagged you on the social medias, but I just posted today a “Why I Read: Carbon Dating” webcomic ‘review’. Hope you like it, and that it pushes some content your way 🙂

If I’m the result of the best sperm of the bunch, I dread to think what would have happened if one of the others had got through instead. I suspect evolution would have gone in to reverse.
Many happy congratulations. Not to be confused with many happy returns because I’m pretty sure you can’t take them back.
Incidentally, the paleontologist just gave me a slight curveball of a question. We just got the 1st quarter report card for 2nd grade. She’s top of her class in reading, the only kid to earn a 4 on a scale of 1-4. So we tell her it’s because we were reading right away. She asked, “Right away?”
I recall the upside down dangle. I recall a rinse at the sink. I recall the jaundice and having to spend the night under a UV lamp. I recall swaddling. I recall the fact that I couldn’t actually afford a working crib after the first one (inherited) broke in getting put together and so to make sure she doesn’t roll away I used a box top and told her mother I was raising a hobo.
I don’t think we got to reading until ~day 5 or 6.
And I’m nostalgia-lating when I ought to be congratulating. Cheers, my friends.
Congrats! 😀
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this the woman who encouraged Kate to “sext” to Rob?
And congratulations on your new arrival–she’s beautiful.
That was her twin sister.
