I feel like we’ve thoroughly explored Wylona’s New-Age pseudosciences, and it’s time that somebody else got the attention. But that’s how it goes, some pseudoscience is much easier to spot than others.
The thing that has become the most apparent to me in the years of cartooning and hosting live events about science and pseudoscience in pop culture – critical thinking is highly compartmentalized. Some nonsense ideas will be more attractive than other depending on your hobbies, social circles, and values. However, nothing crosses spectrums like health fads. There is so much woo in fitness that it was tough to figure out where to even begin!
I’m excited to be hitting a groove with the daily comics. Now we can really dive into some of these topical storylines. I couldn’t help myself with PaleoFit which led to a six-comic series of scripts. Being able to explore these topics in depth is a lot of fun. If there is a pseudoscience driving your crazy that you’d love to see lampooned – please share them on our facebook or twitter!
