Of course no chemical reaction is perfect, yes there are many other byproducts. Mind control agents are not among them. That much hot vapor hitting the freezing upper atmosphere (which gets colder roughly 1-2 degrees per thousand feet in altitude) is much like throwing boiling water outside during winter. It precipitates ice crystals, which can seed clouds if conditions (humidity, pressure, temperature) are just right.
What most solidly debunks ‘chemtrials’ is that any half-decent aviation weatherman can tell you what altitudes on any given day has the right condition for contrails. Either it’s basic physics, or the all of the evil chemtrail pilots broadcast their nefarious flightplans ahead of time.

Unfortunately for Craig, I have no idea how to educate people about how harmless clouds work without being called a shill. If only I had a dollar for every time… perhaps from a shadow corporation engaged in worldwide geoengineering?

There was a study, done after the 9/11 grounding of all airplanes of the US, that produced preliminary data that the lack of contrail clouds did in fact affect the weather during those days.
Of course no further studies will be possible.
That’s because of the whales were able to communicate with the aliens from Star Trek IV since all the boat noise also ended briefly following 9/11.
I remember that article and the paper itself. Amassing all the data they could collect from all available sources at the time. Today crowd sourcing would have done it quicker and more in depth with cellphone apps.
They determined that the lessening of the cloud cover actually dropped the mean temperature by a measurable amount but also that the volume of storms and violent weather planet wide dropped by a statistically noticeable amount with strong delineation IIRC.
Really, people should look at it from the business standpoint. The chemical equation for combustion is simple enough (don’t even need to go to college to know that much) so you can’t produce “chemtrails” off the same engines used to keep the plane flying. That means that if planes were producing “chemtrails” they would need extra tanks to hold the chemicals. That means space and weight on the plane that is not paid for by passengers.
Now, if this is supposedly funded by the government, they’d have to pay the airlines (multiple competing companies) for this service. Considering the average number of contrails one can spot on a given day and factoring the distance/scale aspect that would eat a hefty chunk of budget. Even assuming they were willing to pay, weather would make it challenging to target specific regions. Some would get less and some would get extra (though that would explain Texas). Plus, how would the officials who know about this protect themselves and families from the effects?
Frankly, using subliminal messaging in television and the internet, would be much more cost-effective and have better distribution.
When I was growing up, the lapse rate of the ICAO Standard Atmosphere is 3.56616 degrees F per 1000 feet. If you were referring to degrees centigrade, perhaps you should change the feet to meters. Or is there a conspiracy starting to used mixed units?
Altimeters read in feet, but most thermometers read in both scales. We use the Centigrade lapse rate because it is roughly a whole number per 1000 ft while Fahrenheit is not.
We tend to like easy mental math when flying simply because we already have enough to do without doing calculations long hand. We also have 2 minute standard rate turns. It is a conspiracy to use the simplest mental math possible!
Makes me wonder though…why it is instantly assumed that whatever conspiracy that is going on is intended to be harmful? Say even if the contrail global conspiracy to geoengineer earth is true, what if it is intended to control the effect of global warming? Oh wait, global warming is also a conspiracy….

Consider the U.S. record of keeping secrets, things like Watergate and Agent Orange, and ask yourself – could the U.S. REALLY keep a secret that big, involving that number if people, for any length of time?
It’s like the claims of faked moon landings. NASA at the time was a huge organisation, consuming around 5% if the GDP and conducting its business to a mass media audience through a media which it did not control, at a time when the ethic of public responsibility was important in the media – Watergate took considerable perseverance and a measure of editorial courage to break.
I could easily believe that the sheer quantity of fuel consumed in the aviation industry has an effect, you would hardly expect otherwise, but that isn’t what is being said
What’s a Water Gate? Surely all the water would just flow through?. And who’s Agent Orange? Was he in Spectrum? IS he easily peeled? Does he have pips? Is he a she? Questions, questions, questions- I think there’s a conspiracy here.
The burned fuel condensing can be part of the equation but not the actual cause of contrails but turbulence causing clouds to form out of the already available moisture in the air. If the air is dry contrails do not form. I have even seen contrails at Formula 1 racing that occur near the spoilers(wings to hold the vehicle down) when the vehicle reaches speeds in excess of 300 MPH. They don’t last very long so most people aren’t even aware of them however that is only to emphasize that the cause has nothing to do with chemicals being added to the atmosphere.
Yes, you can often see these forming over wings and off the wingtips – when the temperature/dew point spread is very narrow.
